  1. Talk to your company about culture. Talk to other companies about culture. Stop mistaking symbology and VC spoils for culture. Be honest with yourself, and with each other. Otherwise, your culture will kill you softly with its song, and you won’t even notice. But hey, you have a beer keg in the office.

    I was lucky. My first job out of college was at a company that spent A LOT of time thinking about company culture. Ever since, I’ve spent a bunch of time at every job looking around and considering what I see.

    We’ve a ways to go with Sōsh, but are at least thankfully aware of some of our deficiencies, and this post is food for thought.
